Thunzi Bush Lodge is located in the tranquil sanctuary of coastal forest and African bush.
We are conveniently situated en-route to Cape Town only 25km from the friendly City of Port Elizabeth and 2km from the untouched Maitland Beach.
Within a 30 minute drive, guests will enjoy access to plenty game / wildlife parks and reserves, modern shopping malls, oceanarium with performing dolphins and other attractions.

Thunzi Bush Lodge Accommodation

We have only 4 chalets to 44 hectares of indigenous surroundings. There is a choice accommodation on either a self-catering option, bed and breakfast basis or dinner, bed and breakfast.
Let your soul revitalize to the peaceful sounds of the African bush in the quiet privacy of 1 of our luxury log chalets, each with its own balcony and spectacular view of the forest.

There are no TV sets in the Bed and Breakfast chalets as we are keeping the chalets peaceful but guests are more than welcome to come and watch TV at the Bar if there is a specific program they would like to view.
Turaco Family Suite
This exquisitely furnished 2 bedroom (double and twin) family chalet comprises of a full bathroom with an oval bath and separate shower with heated towel rail.
The lounge has tea / coffee amenities and biscuits, stocked mini bar, private balcony leading from master bedroom and the lounge offers breathtaking views of the indigenous forest and wetlands.
Added extras for your convenience include waffle weaved dressing gowns, remote controlled ceiling fans, complimentary fruit bowl (peak season only) and chocolates, heating, hair dryer and laundry facilities.

Luxury Heron and Narina Chalets
Luxuriously furnished 1 bedroom cabin comprising of en-suite full bathroom with an oval bath and separate shower with with heated towel rail.
There are tea / coffee amenities and biscuits, stocked mini bar, waffle weaved dressing gowns , remote controlled ceiling fans, complimentary fruit bowl (peak season only) and chocolates.
Other features include heating, hair dryer, laundry facilities and french doors opening from the bedroom onto private balcony with spectacular views of the indigenous forest and wetlands.

The Hornbill Self-Catering Chalet
This comfortably furnished 2 bedroom (double and twin) family self-catering chalet comprises of a full bathroom with a bath and a separate shower.
The lounge and dining area are with an open plan full kitchen. The private balcony leads from the lounge which offers breathtaking views of the indigenous forest and wetlands.

A highlight for this chalet is its own private boma area situated in the indigenous forest where family and friends can sit around a cosy fire and enjoy their drinks while having a braai.
Added extras for guests convenience include various DSTV channels, waffle weaved dressing gowns, ceiling fans, tea / coffee amenities and biscuits.
Other features include complimentary homemade seed brittle, heating, hair dryer, daily housekeeping service and laundry facilities.

How To Get To Thunzi Bush Lodge

From Port Elizabeth Airport
Turn left out of the airport at traffic circle into Allister Miller Drive (follow signs to Seaview). At traffic lights turn left into Heugh Rd. Stay on this road for approximately 25km.
When you drive into Seaview town look for Elizabeth Rd to your left (opposite Spar complex). Turn left into this road and follow for 9km. You will see the Thunzi Bush Lodge 100m sign. Start slowing down as the turn left into the estate is sharp.
