Club and the Meerensee Boat Club. Visitors can also enjoy a day’s

Hengeltoere.
The town also offers the visitor entrance to Zululand. This once forgotten corner of the African continent is a land of exquisite beauty characterised by incredible diversity. On its eastern boundary its golden shores are gently caressed by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
Hluhluwe Game Reserve is set in the heart of Zululand, the oldest game reserve in Africa where Zulu kings such as Dingiswayo and Shaka hunted and put in place the first conservation laws, where today the “big five” of African legend stalk the verdant savannah. Hluhluwe covers the northern part of the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park.
The coastline stretches some three hundred and fifty kilometres from the mouth of the mighty Tugela River in the south to the Mozambique border in the north. The coastal plains include endless unspoilt beaches and coastal conservation areas and incorporate the largest estuarine system in Southern Africa.
