Welcome to La Mer LodgeLa Mer Lodge offers comfortable accommodation in Richards Bay located
on the KwaZulu Natal North Coast in the quiet suburb of Situated 1.5 kilometres from the CBD and 7 kilometres from the
beach and Tuzi Gazi waterfront. The town is vibrant and as a north
coast holiday destination, it offers spectacular scenery and un-spoilt
beaches. |

All our rooms are stylishly decorated with a difference making each room unique, colorful and cosy, coupled with a pleasant ambiance.
Double Rooms
This unit is fully equipped and caters for either long term bookings or
for guests who prefer to prepare their own meals.
Bachelor Unit - Self Catering
We offer nine double rooms and in most cases used as single rooms. We
offer four twin sharing rooms for quests who prefer to share accommodation
or for families traveling with children. Beds can either be placed together
or separated.
Twin Sharing/Single
We also offer a family room fitted with a double bed and single bed, ideal
for family traveling with a small child and can also double up as a twin
sharing room.
Family Room
Rooms serviced daily. All rooms are equipped with tea and Coffee facilities
and also available at all times at the station in the dining rooms
• Tea/coffee facilities.
• All rooms are equipped with irons and ironing boards.
• All rooms are fitted with a safe for guests who wish to keep your
valuables locked away.
• Enjoy a cool refreshing room on those hot summer days in Zululand
with fitted air-conditioning.
• For the safety and security of our guests we provide an in-room
panic button linked to armed response.
• A radio alarm is provided for those who wish to catch the news
on radio or set the alarm for a wake-up call.
La Mer Lodge is ideal for both the businessman visiting local industrial giants as well as the holidaymaker. It is one of the closest sea destinations from Gauteng and enjoys a summer climate all year round.
Swimming and surfing are safe and inviting at the Alkaststrand and Neawark beaches, while the Tuzi Gazi Waterfront, Naval Island and Pelican Island are a delight for anglers, jet skiers, power-boaters, canoeists and sailing enthusiasts.
