Nestled in a magnificent World Heritage Site at the foot of the Sani Pass, Mkomazana Mountain Cottages have been lovingly restored and are a part of an historic 1800's trading station. Surrounded by the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park, the sprightly Mkomazana River and four dams on the property attract a multitude of birds and wildlife to enjoy. |

We are perfectly situated for a wide range of outdoor activities, from hiking and mountain biking to bird watching and trout fishing.
The cottages are beautifully appointed, each with its own character, private garden and wood burning fireplace. Delicious freshly baked scones are delivered to your door each morning. Just the thing to make a beautiful mountain morning more memorable.
Kick back and relax or explore and discover. It's completely up to you. Experience Mkomazana, one of the Southern Drakensberg's best kept secrets.
Valley House
Set in a tranquil garden overlooking a beautiful lake and mountain view,
Valley House can accommodate a total of six people as it comprises of
three bedrooms (one with a king size bed and two rooms with twin beds),
two bathrooms, a spacious lounge with a log fireplace, a separate dining
room and an old-fashioned farm kitchen.
Stone House
Tucked away in a private garden, you can sit on your veranda and gaze
up the Sani Pass. Three bedrooms accommodate a total of six people - the
main bedroom has a king size bed, the others have two single beds each
and there are two bathrooms, two toilets, a lounge with a log fireplace,
a separate dining room and an old fashioned farm kitchen.
Coot Cottage
A charming thatched cottage with an open plan lounge (including log fireplace),
dining room and kitchen all facing a lake. There are three bedrooms, (one
with a king size bed and two with single beds) and two bathrooms (one
is en-suite). One of the bedrooms is a comfortable loft room over the
lounge.
Stone Cottage
This is a tastefully decorated cottage in a private setting, has one bedroom
with a king size bed, en-suite shower/basin/toilet, a lounge with a Jetmaster
fireplace, a kitchenette and a small private patio. Stone Cottage can
be hired separately or in addition to the Stone House, if extra space
is required.
Rose Cottage
This delightful cottage has a cozy lounge and bedroom area, a kitchen
and en-suite bathroom. A Jetmaster fireplace adds warmth for cold winter
nights.
