We border on the Table Mountain National Park in the back garden and have spurfowl, guinea fowl, mongoose, field mice, red belly tortoise and porcupine as regular visitors. The Glencairn Wetlands down the road has lovely walks and there is a troop of resident baboons in our mountain area and loads of hiking trails. We are 800 m from Glencairn Beach - easy walking distance to a beach with tidal pool and train station. Come swim with the penguins at Boulders, and Kalk Bay Harbour is 5 km away, as well as Simons Town, Kommetjie and Imhoff's Farm. You can easily start exploring the wine route from here as we have the Cape Point Vineyard which is possibly best known for their Splattered Toad. |
