Welcome to Nicks PlaceYour one-stop stay in Smithfield. Halfway between Johannesburg and East London you’ll find the historic hamlet of Smithfield. It is a well known stop-over for travelers commuting on the N6 and the proud home of Nick’s Place. A charming guest house and restaurant, Nick’s Place boasts all the comforts that will have you feeling right at home. Three luxuriously appointed double bedrooms, all en-suite, offer television, eletric blankets and heaters for those chilly Eastern Free State nights. |

Nick’s Place also offers a self-catering, pet friendly cottage, set apart in a fully-fenced, private garden. It has its own fully equipped kitchen, with outside braai facilities and comfortably sleeps two adults and two children. It is ideal for travelers with dogs.
Our guests enjoy the Victorian charm and comfort of three uniquely decorated cozy rooms. Brass, iron, oak, maple or pine furniture, wooden floors and high ceilings recall a turn-of-the-century look and feel. Each room is separate and private.
Rooms have either full-sized beds or twin beds, all with an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, a television, electric blankets and heaters. We also offer laundry services, a Wi-Fi hotspot area and our staff is happy to take messages.
The White Room
So called because of the constant light entering the room through its
large bay windows, the White Room personifies tranquility. Persian carpets
and rustic furniture solidifies its lived-in feel and you will find yourself
kicking off your shoes before setting down your luggage.
The Cottage
Our self-catering cottage is ideal for a small family (sleeps two adults
and two children). It has its own fully equipped kitchen and a dining
room table.
The Executive Suite
The Executive Suite is our main attraction and sports a four poster king
size bed and a fireplace. Luxury, privacy and comfort is guaranteed.
The Brown Room
With its earthy overtones, the Brown Room radiates warmth and luxury.
