African Dreams Guest House Accommodation

Discreetly hidden from public view is this tranquil oasis offering only 3, but exquisite large luxury suites for the discerning guest who values great comfort, out-standing hospitality and excellent cuisine.

All suites have their own comfortable lounge with seating for 4, dining area, kitchen and private covered patio with lovely views.
The main house and suites are decorated in a modern, elegant and contemporary African ambience.

Indulge in the small luxuries which will enhance memorable experiences:
- high quality beds with pure cotton linen, fluffy towels, bath-robes and slippers as well as hair dryers.

In addition, complimentary South-African sherry, fully automatic Espresso and Cappuccino machines, mini-bar and Wi-Fi Internet and DSTV in all suites.
In addition German TV is available on request. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere is underlined by the vast experience (over 27 years) of the South-African/German owners, who gladly share their knowledge of the country, its peoples and their cultures with their guests and are always there to assist in all matters concerning their guest’s comfort.

Description of Suites and Apartments:
The main house displays a modern contemporary African ambience and is decorated with artifacts and original African Art which has lovingly been collected over many years by the owners who live in the guest house permanently.
Breakfast is also personally prepared and offers an array of South African and Continental delicacies and is either served on the patio with beautiful long distance views or enjoyed on the terrace at the swimming pool in summer.

In winter breakfast is served in the heated dining room with views over Somerset West.

GECKO SUITE/ APARTMENT:
The Gecko Apartment is located on the garden-level, down a set of stairs, facing the sea.
It is a very comfortable 60m2 open plan contemporary African styled suite with Queen size bed, walk-in cupboard with safe plus a large en-suite bathroom with shower plus a luxurious corner bath.

Fully equipped kitchen with microwave, oven and stove, fridge/freezer as well as automatic espresso and cappuccino machine as well as small appliances such as toaster, kettle and coffee maker.
A dining area for 4 plus a full lounge with comfortable chairs and sofa offering Satellite TV and German TV on request.
A large covered patio with grill area leads off from the lounge with beautiful views of the garden and the surrounding areas.

ZEBRA SUITE / APARTMENT (Sleeps 4):
The Zebra Apartment is also on the garden-level, down a set of stairs. It is located on the western-side of the property, adjoining the ‘green-belt area’ next to AFRICAN DREAMS, which is the home to various bird species. It is a large 65m2 two-room apartment in an elegant African style, separate bedroom with Queen size bed plus en-suite bathroom (shower plus luxury corner bath).
The open plan lounge/dinging area has a sleeper couch where a youngster could sleep.
This unit also offers Satellite TV and the choice of German TV on request.
The kitchen is very well equipped with high quality crockery and cutlery, oven and stove, microwave, small electrical appliances plus an automatic espresso and cappuccino machine.

A large covered patio area with grill possibilities, lead off from the lounge and enjoys beautiful views over the village, the mountains and the sea.
A lovely tropical private garden with lush green lawn forms part of your private garden where you can relax and soak in the African Sun and enjoy listening to the bird-life. Prices quoted are based on 1 – 2 people sharing – additional person/s may be charged extra.

THE SENUFO PENTHOUSE (Sleeps 4):
Due to the slope of the land, this modern Penthouse (55m2) is located at the entrance level of AFRICAN DREAMS and no stairs need to be climbed!
It towers high above the property and faces False Bay, the mountains, vineyards and it over-looks Somerset West right to Gordons’ Bay and the Strand. Simply enjoy spectacular views from every corner and be surrounded by comfort and luxury.

The bedroom area has twin beds overlooking Somerset West and the sea.
The lounge area has comfortable tub charis and a sleeper couch to accommodate additional guests.
It also offers Satellite TV and German TV on request. The modern bathroom has a large shower with wonderful views!
There is a very well equipped kitchen, with stove, microwave and an automatic espresso and cappuccino machine.
A covered terrace and grill area, with seating for 4 leads off the dining area.
Prices quoted are for 1 - 2 people sharing - additional person/s sharing may be charged extra.

Wake-up to the sound of African bird-calls and see the sun rise over the mountains! Experience morning breaking and absorb the view over False Bay! We gladly assist with travel plans and share "Our Tips on Africa". We also collect guests from the airport and arrange for Car Rentals to be delivered to AFRICAN DREAMS, once you are sure of the area and 'driving on the left-hand side of the road.'

AFRICAN DREAMS is located in the ‘sweet spot of Somerset West’ where we are surrounded by numerous golf courses.
We gladly make reservations and arrange Tee-Off times for our guests.
Should you wish to brush up on your golf or correct your swing, we will also arrange golf lessons or even a ‘round of golf’ with a resident PRO.

Golfers are constantly discovering the outstanding conditions of the golf courses and enjoy the magnificent scenery which the country offers. Irrespective of the time of year, the courses are always in peak condition.

The world famous Erinvale Golf Course is a mere 5 minutes drive from African Dreams. This Gary Player designed 18 hole championship golf course has fast become renowned throughout the golfing fraternity, both locally and abroad.
Erinvale hosted the 1996 World Cup of Golf, where thirty two participating nations competed and found the course both a golfing challenge and a visual delight.
It currently host´s the annual SAA Open, showcasing the South African golfing talent.

From Cape Town International Airport
Travel on the N2 in direction Somerset West. Take the R 44 off ramp (Broadway Boulevard) and turn left at the traffic lights. At the next intersection (Waterston Village Shopping Centre on left) corner Main Road and R 44, turn right into Main Road.
At the next traffic light +/- 50 meters turn immediately left into Helderberg College Road. Follow this road all the way up the mountain and cross the 3rd. Stop sign at Irene Road.
Continue straight and turn right into the 2nd road which is John Rumble Rd. Follow this road down the mountain and turn left into the 2nd. road which is Fraser Road. African Dreams is next to the park on the right hand side.
