The HELDERBERG FOREST LODGE is a stylish and charming guest Lodge in the heart of the Western Cape, near Cape Town.
Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Somerset West, it is an ideal hotel for tourists and golf players.

You will find the Lodge for an eventful and relaxing holiday only 35 minutes from Cape Town, in the center of the wine country and adjoining the Helderberg Nature Reserve.

The Helderberg Forest Lodge lies in 7500 m² of landscaped gardens surrounded by healthy forests and magnificent mountain vistas.

Relax on the cozy garden lounges or in the sparkling swimming pool. In the outstanding Cape-style decorated main house you will find the reception, residents lounge and bar. Here also is the restaurant from which we are pleased to offer a substantial and healthy breakfast buffet.

Each of our eight spacious lodges is uniquely and tastefully decorated.
Air-conditioning, mini bar, telephone, safe and satellite TV is standard in all our rooms.

All lodges have there own sun patio facing the beautifully presented gardens.

Four uniquely furnished two room apartments, offer a bed and living room with build-in kitchen, large en-suite bath and separate terrace with a view to the Helderberg Mountain

20 car minutes from Somerset West, halfway to Stellenbosch, is an airport for small private planes. We are happy to organise for you a round trip with an experienced pilot.
Admire the Western Cape from the air and ask them to point places out to you, which you would never see on foot. We will be able to organise bookings for you at fairly short notice.

Game fishing is offered from various harbours like Gordons Bay or Hout Bay. There are excellent conditions for fly fishing in the dams and rivers near Franchhoek.
We are happy to book you onto one of the many tennis courts in Somerset West. Scuba diving can be done from Cape Town, Hermanus and Strand. Horse riding lessons and excursions are offered from some of the stables near Stellenbosch.
There is ample opportunity for hiking in the surrounding mountains and nature reserves like the Helderberg Reserve, which is very close to our house.
Feeling stiff and sore after your physical exertions? How about a massage? The physiotherapist will take care of your aches and pains.
The therapist will come to the lodge with you. She will give you a massage in the familiar surrounding of your room, so you do not need to drive to her consulting rooms. So simple!
