Annie's Cottage is a B&B guesthouse in the heart of Springbok,
the centre of Namaqualand, "God's own Garden", in the
Northern Cape province of South Africa.
Annie's Cottage is an African Dream come true. The old manor house
was lovingly restored by Petronella to its former colonial glory.
With luxurious en-suite rooms where no luxury is spared and lazy
afternoons can be spent around the swimming pool, enjoying a book
on the verandah or under our shady old Jacaranda trees.

Serene ambience in a lovingly restored home situated at the foot of the
"koppie" where South Africa's first commercial copper mine was
found.
During August to October when the Namaqualand flowers go into bloom
nothing compares to the beauty of our area - and Annie's Cottage offers
one of the best places to stay with just a bit of magic and information
on the area.
Eleven luxury, en-suite rooms offer comfort & a
feeling of "Coming home" for the weary traveller. Enjoy a cool
afternoon in our oasis-like garden filled with fantasy and little private
corners under established Jacaranda trees, a lazy afternoon on our veranda
with a book or watching the birds having a bath in one of the fountains,
and something refreshing to drink or a fun-filled day with the children
by the swimming pool!
All rooms have private entrances onto the veranda, into the garden or
their own private patio to ensure that our guests enjoy their stay here.
Every room is decorated in a unique style to give it its own personal
touch, with Percale cotton bedding & feather down duvets & pillows,
so you can rest assured you can sleep in luxury!
All rooms are en-suite with either bath or shower or
both, with crisp white towels and matching his/her robes and hair dryers.
Rooms are equipped with internet-connections, television with selected
DSTV channels & M-Net as well as a fully stocked bar-fridge for your
enjoyment and comfort as well as tea and coffee-facilities.
The friendly staff at Annie's Cottage will also provide for all your further
requirements.
Appeliefie (Room 1):
Beautifully lemon coloured walls with pink undertones, en suite with bath,
fan and heating. A favourite, cosy unit with an entrance into the garden
near the swimming pool, with a garden table under Jacaranda trees to sit
and enjoy a drink and a good book with the birds’ singing in the
background.
Citrus (Room 2):
Also has an entrance into the garden and swimming pool area. A favourite
for families - it offers a self contained kitchen, fan, heating, en suite
with bath and sleeps up to 4 people. Ample space inside and outside for
children to play. With its tangerine walls and handmade lead glass lamps
it brings a cosy, comfortable feel.
Peach (Room 3):
This ‘happy’ peach coloured room, with air conditioning, has
an entrance onto the verandah overlooking the garden and pool area. With
3 beds and en suite shower here is ample space for a family. Smokers can
enjoy a cigarette on the verandah or just relax with a drink.
Apple (Room 4):
With its crisp green walls this ‘fresh’ room has twin beds
and an entrance onto the verandah overlooking the garden and pool area.
A favourite amongst guest for its cool atmosphere, en suite bath and shower
and air conditioner.
Amarula (Room 5):
This warm coloured room with twin beds and own private patio has an en
suite shower as well as air conditioner. Decorated with designer décor
this room is really something special! Guests also receive and access
key to the front door of the guesthouse.
Ndlovu (Room 6):
This African themed room with its four poster bed is decorated to exude
warmth. With air conditioning, en suite shower and a sleeper couch this
room is perfect for a couple.
Loft (Room 7):
This ‘studio apartment’ on the second floor is enveloped between
Jacaranda tree branches and singing birds. A favourite amongst the romantic
at heart with its double bed, mosquito net, flower fairy lights and white/lilac
colour scheme. With en suite bath and stairs leading into the garden.
This room also has an air conditioner.
Blossom (Room 8):
This is our little hidden treasure, with its own private bathroom with
bath and sitting area; it’s hidden away upstairs overlooking ancient
Pine trees.
With twin beds and easy access to the Guest House’s second entrance.
It is directly above 2 double rooms, which makes it a favourite for older
children within a family unit.
Plum (Room 9):
Our ‘Arabian Nights’ room, very romantic with exotic magenta
/ dark purplish hues and own private patio with fountain & ancient
Pine tree under which shade couples can enjoy a drink.
With en suite shower and air conditioner as well as access to second entrance
of the Guesthouse.
Mango (Room 10):
This vibrant light orange coloured room with extra queen size bed + single
bed, air conditioning and en suite bath/shower offers guest ample space
and comfort to enjoy their stay with us in style surrounded by luxurious
antique furniture.
With direct access to second Guesthouse entrance.
Syringa (Room 11):
Our honeymoon suite with beautiful antique lime washed furniture, extra
king size bed decorated to create a romantic atmosphere.
Couples can enjoy drinks on their own private patio overlooking the town.
With air conditioning and en suite bath and shower.
BREAKFAST:
Enjoy breakfast in our 'voorhuis' furnished with old South African Africana
cottage furniture with French doors that open into the garden.
A cooked English breakfast, variety of cereals, fruits in season and
bottomless coffee, and juice are included. Cappuccino and espresso are
available. We also cater for Continental breakfasts or vegetarians on
request.
Attractions:
Namaqualand is a vast and beautiful semi desert region, dotted
with giant granite boulder stacks. Between these “koppies”
the outstretched savannah is the home of God fearing sheep and goat farmers.
Springtime in Namaqualand is from August to October.
Then the arid plains become "God’s own Garden",
when the wild spring flowers burst into a kaleidoscope of colour.
Springbok offers many attractions incl geological and historical sites,
museums and fine restaurants. We are situated near to the famous Namaqualand
wildflower reserves and to the Richtersveld National Park. Springbok is
a peaceful and crime free town with a lot of nostalgia. It is the gateway
to Namibia, as we are only 120 kms from the border at the Orange River.

Classic little shops and restaurants are only 500m walking distance
to the old town and tourist information office and a lively central open
