The property is fully fenced and parking is secure. Serenity Retreat AccommodationSerenity House is our exclusive use Self Catering house
– the décor and colour schemes of the rooms reflect elements
of nature. The 2 Rustic Brick and Thatch Garden Rondavels have
views of the Tsitsikamma Mountains and Fynbos and are ideal for the Budget
conscious traveler who wants space and privacy; basic, clean and comfortable
accommodation without unnecessary and costly frills. Driftwood Rondavel is the larger and can now sleep 3
people. Affordable romantic getaways are now possible as Driftwood houses
a comfy double bed and an additional single bed for an extra person/child
or for guests requiring separate beds. Sandrift Rondavel has twin beds and is compact, bright
and cozy - suitable for 1 or 2 people only. Sandrift is our Basic Beat
the Budget option whilst still being adequately comfortable with en-suite
shower and toilet – popular with overnight and short stay visitors
and single travelers. All accommodation is fully equipped with comfortable beds, fresh linen
and abundant hot water.
About Serenity Retreat and things to do: Withdraw from the Rat Race, getaway from the crowds, spend time in nature,
feel safe and relaxed – and experience your own kind of Retreat. Our maximum guest capacity of 12-14 people ensures that personal attention,
privacy and space is abundant. Forest green and sunshine yellow abound and the glow of the morning
sun, the vividness of the clear turquoise skies, the rosy hue
of a glorious Tstitsikamma sunset as well as the steely grey of a stormy
day are reflected in our colour schemes – but nothing compares to
the real experience of getting up close and personal with our surroundings.
Stormsriver Village has a small and varied population
– from all walks of life, many cultures and nationalities and with
few exceptions all co-exist and live harmoniously. Traffic jams are frequent
on one of our country roads when villagers stop for a chat and a host
of others join in. An overall atmosphere of friendship and tolerance pervades this small
jewel of the Garden Route and except for the occasional Culture Clash
and noise pollution - It works. The pace of life is reminiscent of times
long forgotten and Guests can be forgiven for thinking they have stepped
back to an era when principles came before personalities and people lived
in Community. The recent Elvis Festival at the end of April – which we hope will
become an annual event – brought the Village People out of their
homes to participate and share in some good clean fun - a celebration
of music, food and talent. Stalls selling crafts by local crafters lined
the street; the sounds of laughter, music and chatter mixed with the aroma
of food and we hope that this will herald the start of a regular end of
month Craft and Food Market. The Total Village Petroport boasts one of the most famous Biltong Shops in the Country and The Coffee Pot – our local Village Coffee Shop – offers scrumptious and reasonably priced breakfasts and REAL coffee – providing you with the Get up and Go to Get up and Go!!!!
