"Anne's House of Dreams" is a huge air-conditioned family suite occupying the entire first floor of the guest house. The suite comprises lounge / living room with an intimate dining alcove and it also has two single beds.

"Anne of Ingleside" is a spacious, air-conditioned family suite comprising spacious bed-sitter unit with lounge suite, double bed, adjacent alcove with twin bunk beds and full en-suite bathroom. Sliding doors open onto a private, sheltered garden courtyard.

"Anne of The Island" is a very large, air-conditioned apartment comprising sitting room alcove, open plan dining / kitchenette, queen-size bed, and lovely en-suite bathroom.

"Anne of Windy Willows" is a cosy double bedroom suite with twin beds and romantic Victorian en-suite bathroom.

Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast buffet offering a selection of fresh seasonal fruits, cereals and muesli, yoghurts, a selection of breads and pastries to be enjoyed with homemade jams and preserves, cheeses and a variety of condiments.

And that's not all, from the kitchen waft the aromas of traditional home cooking with sizzling bacon, sausages, eggs and mushrooms or indulge in one of Marion's famous farmhouse omelettes.

History:
Founded in 1714 as a small holiday village and fishing harbour, the Strand is famous for its magnificent beaches. The 5km sweep of silver sand, with its mountain backdrop and panoramic views across False Bay is one of the most beautiful coastlines in the Cape.

Green Gables is within easy walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. Explore scenic wine routes, fynbos nature reserves and the Western Cape coastline, which is renowned for the regular visits which migrating whales make to the warm waters of False Bay.
The Strand is an outdoor and sports lovers' paradise, offering something for everyone, be it sunbathing, swimming, surfing or sailing, and the warm waters of False Bay are a haven for fishermen.
There are a number of world-class golf courses right on our doorstep and, all around, the mountains that ring Somerset-Strand are mapped with hiking trails.
