In 1980, the Rattray family bought Fairview a 68-acre headland at The Crags between Plettenberg Bay and Nature’s Valley.
It was named after its extraordinary outlook over the Keurbooms Forest and into several mountain ranges. Built by David Rattray’s parents for their retirement, it was here that David’s mother, Gillian, wrote two of her books A Cape Country Chronicle and In a Country Garden.

We offer an ideal springboard for all the attractions of this famous coastline, but far enough away from the bustle.
It is spacious, beautifully furnished, affordable and it has a lovely swimming pool in the fynbos.
It is possible to have exclusive use of the entire property on request.

The cottage has a spacious living area and three bedrooms.
The downstairs bedroom and the one upstairs bedroom have en-suite bathrooms, while the last bedroom upstairs has a separate bathroom with a shower.

Main House
The Main House has three bedrooms.
The main bedroom has an en-suite with bath and shower, and opens onto a private verandah.
The upstairs bedrooms are inter-leading and share a bathroom.
The kitchen forms part of an open-plan sitting room with fireplace.
A deep covered verandah leading off the formal sitting room has a spectacular view.
