Rocky Road Backpackers is set in a 5 hectare small-holding amidst indigenous forest and open grazing pastures located in The Crags, which is +/- 20 kms (16 miles) east of Plettenberg Bay, Rocky Road is the gateway between the country's Western Cape and Eastern Cape Provinces and is ideally situated to provide superb accommodation for travellers. We are 15 minutes away from the World's Highest Bungy at Bloukrans Bridge and a mere 10 minute drive down a spectacular mountain pass to the unspoiled Natures Valley beach in Tsitsikamma National Park, frequently described as the ìJewel of The Garden Routeî. Rocky Road is far from the daily bustle of urban living. From our
well maintained gardens we enjoy spectacular views of the Tsitsikamma
Mountain range as well as Peak Formosa, the highest in the range. |

Rocky Road Backpackers Accommodation
Our luxury tents on covered timber decks comprise double or twin beds
and provide you with the opportunity to camp in style, overlooking the
indigenous forests.
Our forest bathroom allows you to bathe in seclusion and continue to enjoy
the forest views.
Alternatively you can enjoy our double/twin timber cabins & cottages
set†amongst†our gardens or our dorm accommodation in the main
house.
For campers or those on a budget, you are also welcome to pitch your own
tent amongst our beautiful gardens.
All bathrooms, kitchen, office, telephones, Free WiFi internet and TV
facilities are open for use by all Rocky Road residents.
Your options for Accommodation range from fully equipped double or twin
Luxury Tents which overlook the indigenous forest to cottages, timber
cabins and hostel style dorms.
You are also welcome to pitch your own tent in our attractive garden.

Directions to Rocky Road Backpackers
Follow the N2 Road from Plettenberg Bay.
Head northeast on the N2 Road towards Ferdinand Street and follow the
road for 21 km.
Turn right onto the R102 and take the first right at the sign for Rocky
Road.
