Welbedacht offers an idyllic country retreat, just over an hour's drive from Cape Town. Our cottages offer complete privacy in a tranquil environment, and are tucked away amongst pine trees, fynbos and orchards. All cottages are equipped for self-catering, with shady verandas, private plunge pools, log fireplaces and braais. All linen, towels and firewood provided! Enjoy game viewing, walking, bird watching, fishing or swimming in the dam; feast your eyes on the spectacular views of the Tulbagh Valley and surrounding mountains.

Explore nearby Tulbagh, with its excellent restaurants and renowned wine route. A visit to Welbedacht is bound to be a memorable and relaxing escape.

Welbedacht Nature Reserve Accommodation

Orchard Cottage consist of:
- Two double, ensuite bedrooms, main with fireplace
- Couch (in the lounge) converts to two extra single beds
- Open plan kitchen / dining area / lounge with fireplace
- Veranda with pergola and built-in private plunge pool
- Views of surrounding mountains and Tulbagh Valley
- Equipped for self catering, including all linen and towels
- Private braai facilities, with all firewood provided

The Stone Cottages:
Each Cottage:
- Sleeps two adults in a double bed
- Open plan kitchen / lounge with fireplace
- Shady veranda with private plunge pool
- Views of surrounding mountains and Tulbagh Valley
- Equipped for self catering, including all linen and towels
- Private braai facilities, with all firewood provided

Eagle Cottage:
- Sleeps two adults in double-bed in a private bedroom
- Sleeps two children in a bunk bed in a private children's room
- Open plan kitchen / lounge with fireplace
- Shady veranda with private plunge pool
- Views of surrounding mountains and Tulbagh Valley
- Equipped for self catering, including all linen and towels
- Private braai facilities, with all firewood provided

Activities include:
Welbedacht is the perfect place to relax - in summer, cool off in your private plunge pool or enjoy a swim in the dam; in winter, get a roaring fire going and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Those who are more energetic can walk amongst our zebra, springbok and bontebok in the nature reserve and conservation area, through orchards and fynbos, or up into the mountains.

Alternatively, try your skills at fishing in one of our dams.
