Also inspiring is the early morning is the sunrise views from the balcony. It is a mere 300 metres stroll down the lawns to Uvongo's wind-sheltered, shark-netted beach with its quaint lagoon and pictures waterfall - arguably one of the prettiest spots on the Kwa-zulu Natal South Coast.
Uvongo is the perfect place for holiday-making, offering the tourist year-round opportunities for sun tanning, swimming, surfing, body boarding, fishing, hiking, jogging, mountain- and road biking, canoeing and pleasure boating.
The blue-flagged beaches of Margate, Ramsgate and Marina Beach are within only a few minutes' drive from Uvongo. Margate offers plenty of action for youngsters in and out-of-season and close by St Michaels beach is a good spot for really good surfing conditions.
