OR Tambo International airport, outside of Vaalwater in the Waterberg,
Izintaba offers self catering accommodation in 6 luxury, fully equipped
self-catering cottages.
Sleeping between 4 and 12 people Izintaba Lodges are perfect for
friend or family get together's, intimate weddings or romantic bush
getaways.
Izintaba Game Farm offers guests the freedom to enjoy the bush at
their own pace either walking, mountain biking, fishing, birding
or doing a game drive on our 1200ha game reserve.
Leave the city stress behind you and come and enjoy true peace and
tranquillity in the Malaria free Waterberg bush.

Izintaba Game Farm Accommodation
At Izintaba we believe that a stay in the bush can be enjoyed in style
and comfort. The thatched lodges are luxuriously furnished, very comfortable
and overlook typical Waterberg bushveld.
At the end of the day guests can relax on their patio and anticipate the
magnificent sunset; make a wood fire in their private lapa, watch the
incredible night sky and savour the heady scents and wild night sounds
of the bushveld.
The kitchens in all the cottages are fully equipped for self-catering
and include all crockery, utensils, a 4-plate electric or gas stove with
oven, a 2-plate gas cooker, microwave, kettle and fridge / freezer.
Dishwashing liquid and dishcloths are provided. All bed linen, bath towels
and soaps are provided in all cottages.
Please bring your own swimming towels. All the cottages have fireplaces
in the lounge, except Izintaba Lodge where gas heaters are provided.
Bushbuck & Zebra Cottage (4 - 6 Sleeper)
Bushbuck and Zebra Cottage are two thatched rondavels, which are luxuriously
furnished, very comfortable and overlook typical Waterberg bushveld.
Wildebeest and Impala can often be found grazing on the lawns in front
of these cottages in the early mornings and evenings.
At the end of the day guests can relax on their patio and anticipate
the magnificent sunset; make a wood fire in their private lapa, watch
the incredible night sky and savour the heady scents and wild night sounds
of the bushveld.

Secluded on its own overlooking a rocky ridge, Kudu Cottage is a larger
double story thatched cottage ideally suited for families and friends
who want to enjoy the bush in privacy.

Giraffe Cottage (10 Sleeper)
Originally built as a home, Giraffe cottage has been converted into a
spacious lodge with an open plan dining room, lounge and large kitchen
that makes big family or friend get together's comfortable and hassle
free.

Duiker Cottage (4 Sleeper)
Duiker Cottage will appeal to those guests who really want to experience
the peace and tranquillity of being alone in the bush.
Situated on a small rocky ridge, Duiker Cottage offers spectacular views
of the surrounding bush and mountains from both the covered stoep and
the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room.

Izintaba Lodge (10 - 12 Sleeper)
This exceptional bush home offers guests all the luxuries and comforts
of a traditional bush lodge, with the flexibility to enjoy your holiday
at your own pace.
Perfectly suited for large groups, friends or family, this lodge offers
a catering sized kitchen, a private swimming pool, a bar with pool table
and dartboard and plenty of space in both the bedrooms and living areas.

The Bush Camp is comfortable yet rustic. Although within
walking distance from the Lodge, it is also private and authentic with
a magnificent view.
It sleeps 4 guests in two rooms with shared bathroom. The outdoor lounge
/ dining area is open plan, with enclosed fully equipped (stove, fridge
/ freezer, microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery) kitchen. Braai facilities
include a braai-pit.
The lodge and camp are serviced daily. We provide linen, towels and a
limited supply of firewood. Catering, game drives and laundry on request.

Based in the greater Waterberg Biosphere, this malaria-free, over 1300ha
game farm is one of incredible natural beauty: from the Dwars River flowing
through the valleys to the grasslands on the mountain tops, rocky koppies
and terraced bushveld.
There is an abundance of game as well as innumerable species of reptiles,
birds, insects and plants. Game species include blue wildebeest, impala,
waterbuck, blesbuck, kudu, eland, bushbuck, gemsbok, red hartebeest, duiker,
steenbuck, warthog, bushpig, zebra, jackals, baboons and monkeys.
There have also been more unusual sightings of hyena, aardvark, aardwolf,
serval, African python, honey badgers, leopard and vultures.
It is a nature-lovers paradise, combining an opportunity to view a variety
of game, in breath-taking surrounds and the chance to relax in comfort
at the end of the day.

How To Get To Izintaba Game Farm
Take the N1 North from Johannesburg, turn left towards Nylstroom / Modimolle
at the Kranskop tollgate. Travel through Modimolle towards Vaalwater (60km).
Turn right at the stop street towards Melkrivier and travel 35km. At the
Dorset sign turn left on the dirt road. At the fork carry on straight
towards Werkendam (± 20km), do not turn left again. Izintaba is
on the right hand side just past the dam. Follow the signs to reception.
