Directions to The Waves Tidals and Palm 1
From Cape Town and the George Airport:
Proceed in an Easterly direction along the N2 highway.
When nearing George, ignore all exits to George.
Approximately 2 km from where the N2 becomes both direction traffic and
where the road signs slow you down to 80 kph, is the sign to Victoria
Bay (Actually Victoria Baai which is Afrikaans for Victoria Bay).
Watch out, do not turn off at the Victoria Heights turn-off. Take the
turn to the right you’re still on a macadamized (tarred) road.
Follow the instructions marked (D) below.
From Port Elizabeth:
Proceed in a Westerly direction along the N2 highway.
Travel through/past a village called Wilderness and through a mountain
pass, it is called Kaaimans Pass but there is no name indicating that.
At the top of the pass you’ll see a large hotel on the right called
Far Hills Hotel, and then just past that on your left is the sign Victoria
Bay.
Turn left and follow the instructions marked (D) below.
There are important road-works going on so allow extra time (60 minutes)
to get here.
From Johannesburg / Oudtshoorn and George:
Continue into the city of George via the Outeniqua Pass.
Follow all signs that say Knysna or Port Elizabeth in an Easterly direction.
The road name changes three times but ignore the names, just head in the
Easterly direction.
Proceed along that road for about 8 km from George (you should see Bells
golf driving range on your left) watching out for a fly-over which goes
over the N2 highway. Go over same.
Approximately 2 km from the fly-over is the sign Victoria Baai which is
Afrikaans for Victoria Bay. Watch out, do not turn in at the Victoria
Heights sign. Turn right and proceed along a tarred road for about 2.7
km.
Follow the directions (D) below.
From Victoria Bay Turn Off:
Stay on tarred road for 2.7 km until you come to a traffic circle.
At the circle you’ll see a locked blue steel traffic control gate.
On this gate is a sign saying that this road is for Residents vehicles
only.
You need to get through that gate.
So park in the parking area nearby.
Please do not park in front of the gate.
You (or someone in your car) now needs to stroll down to “The Waves”
(300 meters) to collect the key for the gate so that you can bring your
vehicle in. We have parking at The Waves for you.
You can phone us and we will come to the gate and let you in. If you can’t
reach us by phone, please walk down.
