Vlees Bay village is situated approx. 15 minutes from Mossel Bay, on the N2 towards Cape Town. Uniquely positioned on the water's edge, with just a frog's leap between you and the Indian Ocean. You can drop a stone from the balcony into the water, that's the proximity to the water. Uninterrupted views of crystal blue water, sparkling surf and pristine white sand stretches on for miles as far as the eye can see. The Alabatross House Accommodation

Ideally suited for three couples, wanting to slow down, charge their batteries and shut down. (Unfortunately, no children under the age of 16 and no pets allowed). It is a place of "just being", where you can ensure to find peace for the soul.

It consists of 3 bedrooms, of which the main bedroom is en suite with a shower and 2 double rooms share a bathroom with shower and toilet and separate toilet and washbasin. The outside shower with a view is favoured by the whale and dolphin watchers.

Rooms are fully equipped with percale cotton sheets, blankets and towels. Each individually decorated with style.

The house offers an uninterrupted view of the ocean and has a unique position that cannot be matched in South Africa! All the sea facing windows in the lounge/dining room area, folds up and slides to the side, offering a feeling of being outside.

Beautiful kitchen area is well equipped for self-catering:

Activities in the Area
Enjoy long walks on the ivory sand beach, lie in the sun on the deck or wake up to the noise of seagulls and oyster catchers, enjoying themselves on the rocks. Go for an early morning swim and refresh your body with a cold shower outside whilst watching the whales and dolphins.

Tennis and Squash Courts, 10 minutes drive to Boggoms Bay. Mossel Bay is within close proximity and can be reached within 15 minutes and offers all that could be required for shopping, restaurants and sight seeing:

- Deep sea fishing
- Shark cage diving
- Helicopter flips
- Historical walks
- Hiking and biking

For the energetic and young at heart, there is a choice of several famous Golf courses directly in the vicinity. The famous Fancourt golf course is just 30 kilometres away from Vlees Bay.
