Thokozani Lodge offers you:
Apart from the homely atmosphere and friendly service,
Thokozani Lodge, the attractive thatched Guest House, offers: rooms and
cottages with double bed, rooms with single beds and three or four sleeper
rooms.
All rooms and cottages are en-suite and furnished with handmade wooden
furniture in rustic style. For a safe and peaceful night all beds are
equipped with mosquito nets.
Each room has a separate entrance and beautiful view of the garden. Enjoy
your breakfast in the dining room, or, if you prefer, on the terrace in
the garden!
The big garden with numerous suptropical plants is a paradise for a wide
variety of birds (we spotted over 90 species).
You have a wonderful view over the White River valley. The big
swimming pool cools you down in the heat and makes your swim enjoyable.
Deck chairs and a thatched sun shelter are provided for your convenience.
Feel free to walk around the farm. You can walk down to the banks of the White River and enjoy pure African nature. Watch the birds, lizards, mongoose, rock and water monitors or simply lie on the rocks and dream. For the more energetic, there is horse riding, golf, squash and other activities nearby.
When you have had enough of the sun or it rains – no problem! Come
to the house, sit on the veranda or enjoy the lounge. Here you can read,
listen to music or just relax. Help yourself to free coffee or tea. There
is also a selection of games and a billiard room.
Enjoy the sunset, sip a drink on the terrace and watch bats hunting in
the dusk. At night you can sit around the fireplace under a million stars.
Listen to the sound of the Bush Crickets or the call of the Wood Owl.

Bundu walkway (+ 2 hours) is a guided tour on a private game farm through
indigenous bushland with lots of game and birds.
Adventures you can start from Thokozani Lodge
If you are into bungee jumping, quad biking, white water rafting, abseiling
or like to explore deep gorges and scenic valleys in an adventurous way
– don’t look further than the Lowveld.
Whatever you like, there is an adventure for you in the Lowveld.
We also offer a transport service to and from your destination.
Big Swing Graskop – Experience the adrenaline of
a 60m freefall in under 3 seconds on the world’s highest cable gorge
swing. Followed by a majestic walk through the rain forest, or fly over
the gorge on a 131m highwire, 80m above ground zero and witness the breathtaking
Graskop waterfall as never seen before.
Abseiling Hazyview - Abseil down a 30m granite rock near
the Kruger National Park, with stunning views over the Lowveld! Min. group
of 4 pax.Sabie - Waterfall abseil, prepare to get wet! Abseil 25m down
the Sabie waterfall. Available on certain days only.
Kloofing - An activity for the adventurous in the Sabie
River and Mac Mac Valley. Rock hopping, bum sliding, pool crawling and
hiking through spectacular valley scenery.
Quad Bike (from 1 to 4 hours)
The trails run through the scenic Sabie River Valley. Drive through leafy
indigenous bush and plantations along the bubbling Sabie River and other
scenic streams.
Why not stop at a picturesque waterfall for a picnic?The quad trails are
suitable for novice and to experienced drivers. Friendly instructors/
guides will teach you how to ride the 250cc semi-automatic 4-weeler and
safety equipment (helmets and goggles) are supplied.
River Rafting
Sabie River (half day) - The scenery is breathtaking with prolific birdlife
- the rapids are exciting but not scary!
Blyde River (full day) - Arguably the best river section in South Africa.
Raft the third biggest canyon in the world! Unspoiled wilderness with
spectacular canyon scenery. Rafting from Nov. to June. Min. group of 6
pax.
Length: 8km whitewater plus 5km motor boat cruise over dam.

White Water Tubing (half day)
Microlight Flights - 30 min. Sabie Valley
60 min. Escarpment, God’s Window and Waterfalls
Hot Air Ballooning - (3 to 3½ hours)
Experience the romance and grace of the oldest form of flight. Launch
at sunrise and float with the wind. Join the pilot for breakfast at a
nearby lodge afterwards.
Location of the Thokozani Lodge:
Follow the N4 from Johannesburg or Maputo to Nelspruit. As you come to
Nelspruit, turn onto the R 40 towards White River / Hazyview.
Travel on R 40 to White River (approx 20 km), in White River go straight
on Chief Mgiyeni Khumalo Drive through town (end of town you will see
a big mosque on your right hand side).
Go straight over this intersection (traffic lights) and follow R538 to
Karino / Plaston R 538 for approx 4,5 km. After 2nd railway crossing,
take the first turn off to your right (sign "Jatinga"). Follow
the gravel road for approx 1,5 km and turn into the first gate to your
right: THOKOZANI!
