of the Drakensberg, Lilac Lodge has a number of
cottages available, ranging from a two sleeper to a ten sleeper.
Available are braai areas, pool, and trampoline and play area for
children in a lovely big garden. You can also enjoy good South African
home baked foods at our restaurant 'The Purple House'.

Directions to Lilac Lodge
From Durban
Along the N3, pass the Shell Ultra City and take the Exit 194, Winterton/Bergville/Colenso/R74
glide off. Turn left and proceed to Winterton. Enter the avenue of trees
and within the first kilometer, you’ll see the house on your right-hand
side. You have arrived. From Johannesburg: Scenic Route: Caution, do not
follow this route in wet weather. Johannesburg to Harrismith on N3. At
Harrismith turn right or Bethlehem/Bloemfontein. Proceed for +/- 5 km,
turn left again Bergville/Oliviershoek Road. Continue past Oliviershoek
Pass, straight through Bergville and onto Winterton. Pass the Engen Garage
on your left, travel through town on the main road. Pass the Shell Garage
on your right. Travel a further 100m – Lilac Lodge are on your left-hand
side. Freeway route: Johannesburg to Van Reenen’s Pass on the N3.
Take the first Toll Plaze, which is at the bottom of Van Reenen’s
Pass. Route 1: Turn left for approximately 4 km on the N1 and then turn
right onto the R600. You will cross over the N3 concrete highway. Turn
left towards Winterton. Route 2: Turn right over the N3 freeway and proceed
for 38 km to Bergville and proceed past Bergville, continue on R74 for
22 km.
