The area was declared a World Heritage Site in December 2000 in recognition of the astounding natural and cultural richness of this beautiful part of South Africa. The Nest is well known for our tasty South African country cooking and relaxing accommodation set in our gardens. We have simple Garden Rondavels, Premier Garden Rooms and Mountain View Rooms. Our en-suite Mountain View rooms are very popular as they provide a veranda
overlooking the major peaks of the Central Drakensberg. The ideal place
for morning coffee or just to watch the scenic Drakensberg in all its
glory. All Mountain View Rooms now have TV with limited DSTV channels.
Premier Garden Rooms
These rooms are set in our trimmed and tranquil park-like gardens and
each have their own en-suite bathroom and are comfortably furnished
