Nestled in the Central Drakensberg with spectacular views overlooking
the Bell Park Dam to the Champagne Castle range is a perfect location
for a peaceful, country get-away. Treks, Trips and Trails consist
of four stand-alone self-catering units scattered on a 50 acre smallholding
adjoining the Bell Park Dam. A third can be accommodated but no children under 10. Bergvlei Garden Cottage, a secure six sleeper unit close to the main house with good views from the deck in the garden. Gibbs Cottage, a six sleeper with incredible panoramic views from an expansive deck. |

Bergvlei Self-catering
Bergvlei Cottage is our cosy and comfortable self-catering garden Cottage
with a stunning view overlooking Bell Park Dam to the impressive Cathkin
range of the Drakensberg Mountains from the deck in the garden.
It has a large main bedroom (double bed) with bath, toilet and basin en-suite.
The mezzanine floor, with four single beds, has an enclosed balcony which
looks out over the magnificent mountain range and is serviced by a second
bathroom downstairs consisting of a shower, toilet and basin.
Gibbs Self-catering Cottage
Gibbs Cottage is a middle of the road mountain cottage set on a hill overlooking
Bell Park Dam with the Cathkin/Champagne Castle Peaks of the Drakensberg
as a backdrop.
Needless to say, the view is breathtaking and with the cottage having
a large deck for relaxing and braais, one gets the full benefit of this
beautiful area.
The cottage itself has a double room downstairs with a toilet/basin en-suite
and another room upstairs also with a double bed and two divan beds which
are suitable for children or teenagers.
An extra sleeper couch is available.
A bathroom with shower/basin/toilet services the bedrooms downstairs.
Uphall Self-catering cottage
Uphall self-catering cottage is basic and very private set in a huge garden
with a wonderful view of the Cathkin and Champagne Castle peaks of the
Drakensberg. The main cottage has one double bedroom en-suite with bath,
toilet and basin and a fully-equipped kitchenette which leads off from
the lounge/dining room. The second, smaller cottage which is free-standing
and approx. 10 meters from the main cottage has a double bed and two children's
beds with a small bathroom again with bath, toilet and basin. The fireplace
in the main cottage completes the image making this a true country cottage
with prices at the lower end of the scale. No TV is available as we feel
this detracts from the perfect peace which exists here.
Bahati Tree Cabin
Bahati Tree Lodge is built two-and-half metres off the ground in the tops
of the trees, one of which actually grows through the house. The view
from the open plan lounge/dinette and kitchen across the Bell Park Dam
Valley is magnificent and the peace and quiet which surrounds this spot
is amazing.
The wooden cabin is luxuriously fitted out with a double bedroom en-suite
Jacuzzi, shower, basin and toilet.
A second bedroom under the cabin has two single beds with an en-suite
bathroom and walk-in shower.
