The First House was built in 1906 - the very first in Zinkwazi and has since been maintained in its original colonial style. A tree-lined driveway welcomes you to this beacon of heritage and an unforgettable experience on the Kwazulu-Natal North coast. Whilst offering spectacular views, the setting and lush plant life secludes visitors to The First House from the beachgoers down below. The house has direct access via a boardwalk to the lagoon and beach although the swimming pool and deck offers an ideal alternative to basking in the sun in your own privacy. |

The First House Accommodation
The house is located on a massive property edging the main beach in the village of Zinkwazi. Whilst offering spectacular views, one is totally private from the sun worshippers down below. The First house is the very first built (1906) in Zinkwazi and has been maintained in its original style. There is a lovely large veranda which encircles the left side of the house and shields all from wind and weather, whilst offering the ideal space to read, play games or just spend hours visiting with your family and friends.
The housing consists of house and flatlet, a total of 7 bedrooms and sleeps 14 people. It does offer the ideal setting for a holiday of lazing in the sun, whilst totally private and yet right at the main beach.
The house has direct lagoon and beach access via boardwalk. The premises is secured with fencing, gates and beams and for vehicles there are three secure parking garages.
Activities
Zinkwazi is well-known for its incredible bird life and its proximity
to the Zululand Birding Route. Ferry rides can be taken along the lagoon
and is used for upriver bird spotting, wine tasting or simply to experience
the relaxation of being on water. Golf enthusiasts have a number of courses
to choose from and Zinkwazi also lies in the heart of the King Shaka Route
and isclose to the historical Anglo-Zulu battlefield.
