Mountain Inn main building makes the most of the view with large
windows set in characteristic Spanish arches.
Friar Tuck’s, the Mountain Inn’s a la carte restaurant
situated on the lower floor, opens out onto a patio overlooking
the pool. The rooms are situated in three wings, north, south and
poolside. Sunrises and sunsets are often spectacular times of the
day from the hotel’s elevated position.
At 1160m above seal level, the hotel is blessed with cooler climate
than the majority of Swaziland and the Ezulwini Valley below. The
mountain breeze makes summers comfortable and although winters can
be chilly, the premises have good exposure to the mid-year sun.
A number of function and conference rooms are available for your
special needs. The hotel hosts an Art Gallery, which exhibits some
of the best local work and offers an insight into the wealth of
talent that has made Swaziland a regional art and craft hub.
For corporate travellers, the hotel’s dedicated Business
Centre is an efficient and functional facility. Offering computer
terminals, printers and FREE WIRELESS ACCESS, the Business Centre
is a quiet place to catch up with the outside world and service

Rooms at the Mountain Inn
South Wing
The rooms have the most breathtaking view. There are 25 rooms in
this block including 2 suites. They are all en suite, air-conditioned
and comfortably furnished. Roughly 40 squares meters in extent,
the rooms have mostly double beds with some twin singles available.
Poolside
These 12 rooms facing east have a small veranda with a glass door
for entry. The rooms are approximately 35 square meters in extent,
en suite, and air-conditioned. All rooms have double beds. The wing
was recently refurbished with a comfortable finish.
North Wing
These 10 rooms all have twin single beds. They are comfortably furnished
with a 45 square meter interior and air-conditioned.
All rooms have T.V. with DSTV international news, sport and movie

located within minutes of Mbabane, the Swazi capital, as well as
any of the country’s tourism highlights. Friar Tuck’s
– the hotel’s in-house restaurant is renowned for its
superb quality cuisine with buffet as well as a la carte options.
Location
The Mountain Inn located on the outskirts of Mbabane, overlooking
the Ezulwini “Valley of Heaven”. Its views are unsurpassed
in Swaziland and encompass an 180 degrees arc from the sacred Mdzimba
Mountains in the east to the legendary “Sheba’s Breasts”
(of Rider Haggard – King Solomon’s Mines fame) in the
west. Framed by massive outcrops of granite, in Ezulwini Valley
stretches out 500m below the hotel. In the distance the view encompass
Lobamba, heart of the Swazi nation, where the Queen Mother resides
and further still – Lozitha His Majesty King Mswati 111’s
palace. Finally the eye dwells on the blue-distant mountains of
Bulunga and Siceni over 50km’s away.

Directions & travel information
The Mountain Inn is conveniently located just off the main
route through Swaziland. From the south take the new Manzini-Mbabane
highway, or alternatively the old road through Ezulwini where craft
shops markets dot the route. After Ezulwini climb the Malagwane
hill and turn right at the first traffic lights outside Mbabane.
The hotel is 2 minutes away on a good paved tarmac road. From the
north - arrive in Swaziland either via Oshoek or the popular Malelane
Piggs Peak route. From Mbabane take the road to Manzini and on the
outskirts of town turn left at the Mountain Inn sign- posted junction.
The Mountain Inn has a secure parking area. Traveling time from
Matsapha International Airport is 20 minutes and transfers can be
arranged for individuals or groups.
The hotel is not in a malarial area for visitors to Mbabane, malarial
precautions are not required. Visitors to Swaziland require a valid
passport. Most visa requirements are handled on arrival at the border
or airport, though it is advised that visitors from outside the
E.U. or USA should contact us to verify requirements in advance.

Friar Tuck’s Restaurant
As its name suggests this facility specializes in wholesome
food served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant, with
cosy alcove seating is a popular venue for leading members of Swazi
society. The small bar is a place to rub shoulders with many interesting
personalities and the long-service staff provides the venue with
a professional yet homely feel.
The a la carte menu is extensive with many interesting dishes to
tantalize the taste buds. The wine-list and bar service complements
the menu to guarantee occasions worth remembering. Buffet options
are provided for large groups, Light finger lunches can be prepared
for coach groups requiring a transit lunch stop.
Meeting and Conference Facilities
The Mountain Inn has a number of meeting and conference rooms with
necessary audio-visual equipment. There is an experienced in-house
conference co-ordinator to assist with arrangements for all functions
and programs. Multi-day programs can be supplemented by optional
tours and activities in surrounding areas.
The hotel is a venue suitable for small incentive group visits,
as well as for team-building exercises with linkages to white-water
rafting, caving, abseiling and hiking adventures. Full and detailed
