ABOUT ILALA LODGE
Ilala Lodge offers distinguished yet affordable accommodation
in warm elegant surroundings. The decor evokes an era of early adventure
and the quest for discovery in Africa. The Hotel is ideally situated being
the closest to the mighty Victoria falls as well as the town centre. The
National Park borders the front of the property and wild animals often
graze on the hotel lawns, with the spray of the falls in the background.
A warm welcome awaits you at our world class Palm Restaurant, where breakfast lunch and dinner is served daily. We offer superb cuisine while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the gracious surroundings. The menus are a la Carte and guests can eat indoors in the restaurant or on the palm terrace, weather permitting.
ACCOMMODATION AT ILALA LODGE
Ilala Lodge offers 32 standard rooms and 2 deluxe suites. All
rooms have en suite bathroom with separate shower, air conditioning, overhead
fan, satellite TV and have individual coffee and tea facilities.
The rooms are spacious with railway sleeper teak furnishings and patio
doors leading onto either open lawn or a balcony where you are afforded
a view of the spray of the falls from the upper level rooms.
STANDARD ROOM
All standard rooms at Ilala Lodge have got 2 x ¾ beds in a spacious
room that is decorated by railway teak. Each room has got an en-suite
bathroom all with complimentary soaps , shampoos and conditioners. The
bathroom comes standard with a bath , shower and toilet. Standard in each
room is an airconditioning unit that ensures guests have a cool retreat
to relax in from the heat of the day and overhead is a fan if it is needed.
There are french doors in each room that open up to a communal garden.
Bottled water is provided for in each of the rooms as well as a kettle
for the tea and coffee provided. There is ample in build closet space
that will provide a place for guest to put their clothing and personal
effects, including a safe to lock away valuables.
DELUXE SUITES
Deluxe suites are styled in exactly the same way as the standard suites
, with railway teak desks and décor , but they all have a king
size bed in each suite. They all have got an ensuite bathroom and have
a shower, bath and toilet in all the suites. Each suite has got a balcony
where guests can enjoy some quiet time on the comfortable chairs and table
provided. There is a coffee and tea station provided along with the bottled
water. These suites are bigger than the standard rooms and are more intimate
that the standard rooms.
DINING AT ILALA LODGE
Ilala Lodge offers the discerning guest a flavour fantasy at our la carte
restuarant. We cater for guests staying at the lodge and walk ins looking
for the perfect meal to compliment the day. Whether its breakfast, lunch
or dinner our dedicated service and kitchen staff will show you the true
meaning of fine dining. We also have a Pool and cocktail bar that is a
sure winner for any end of any day. So come dine with us and taste the
real meaning of luxury.
THE PALM RESTAURANT
We are very proud to announce that the Palm Restaurant at Ilala Lodge
has been awarded Restaurant of the Year for 2011 in Zimbabwe for the deluxe
category - a great achievement. The restaurant was awarded the honour
at the ZOAP (Zimbabwe on a Plate) Awards held in Harare.
An ecstatic Roddy Meiring, the Hotel's General Manager commented "I am very proud of all the skilled and dedicated staff that we are lucky to have with us. Everyone has been working hard at raising our standards and this award is validation of our efforts. A huge achievement for all - well done".
