The boat will drop you on the main beach on Apo Island, you will have to
walk in the water from the boat so be prepared to get your feet wet. Apo is
a very small island and the main village is directly infront of you as you
walk up the beach, there are no roads or vehicles on the island so from now
on you are walking, but dont worry nothing is far away.
Accommodation options are very limited on the island, in fact there are only
5 places to stay in total, and they book up well in advance so make a reservation
before you arrive and accommodation is not cheap on the island, very cheapest
is Php900 per night (3 rooms on the island at this price) while most rooms
are between Php 2000 to Php4000 per night, and don't expect all the mod-cons
because of the price, you are paying for the location.
Apo island has no internet (and therefore no wifi) and there is no mains
electricity on the island, power is provided by generator and only between
6pm to 10pm, so no aircon at all and no fans after 10pm. Also there is no
piped water on the island so washing showers and toilet flushing is done with
buckets. Mobile networks for globe/TM work on the island.
So no internet and little eletricity, what are you going to do on Apo?
