Apo does not have endless long sand beaches, in fact the beaches are mostly
coral beaches in little coves with crystal clear warm water lapping at the
shore, it also does not have crowds of people and the locals are laid back,
helpful if you need something otherwise they will leave you alone.
On the beach by the village you will find a small shade where you can hire
a guide Php 300 (and fins, mask, lifejacket at Php 100 each) and go snorkel
in the marine reserve, its not teeming with life but it does have turtles,
if you have never seen a turtle this is a wonderful opportunity to see these
great guys.
There are plenty dive sites around the island and there are three centres on the island offering dive trips, prices are around Php1400 to Php 1800 per dive including equipment and marine fees.
