Boreland
is an upland sheep farm set in the rolling hills North of Dumfries town.
The farm has 365 acres of pasture and rough grazing with a flock of 550
breeding sheep including pure Beltex ewes and tups. The river Cairn runs
through the farm on the edge of our hay meadow, offering free fishing
to guests.
Come and relax in the warm friendly atmosphere of Boreland Farm with
its traditionally built 19th century farmhouse set in the rolling countryside
of Dumfriesshire.
They are located between Dunscore and Moniaive on a small road by the
river Cairn aprox. 12 miles north of Dumfries town.
The family run upland farm allows visitors to experience a variety of
farm activities and caters well for younger guests who are made very welcome.
There is plenty of room for playing in the gardens and many animals to
see around the farm.

They offer a comfortable en-suite (shower & bath) rooms with their
own private access, sleeping up to 6 guests in the family room and double,
twin, singles rooms also available. All rooms have central heating, tea
& coffee, r/c colour television & DVD, (with a selection of films
available) free BB internet access (plug your laptop into an ethernet
socket in your room), tourist information and alarm clock radio.

Getting there from the Information Center
Heading North from Dumfries on the A76 turn off left after approx 1 mile
from Jet petrol station onto the B729 signed for Dunscore then on for
about 7 miles. In Dunscore fork left at the mini roundabout (the church
will be on your left) and carry on down the hill and over the bridge,
then on for approx 1.5 miles then turn right (signed Corsock). 0.25 mile
on turn right again (signed Moniaive). They are up the hill, about 1.5
miles on the left.
