Melody Durban Maputo Barra lodge

4 night Cruise.

Durban - Maputo : Days 1-2
We set sail from Durban harbour, situated on the warm east coast of South Africa, in the Province of Natal at 13h00, and head up the cost of the Indian Ocean towards Maputo, arriving at 10h00 the next morning.
Maputo is situated at the mouth of the Tembe River. The bay is 95 km (50 mi) long and 30 km (20 mi) wide. The Maputo River empties into the southern end of the bay. Founded in the late 18th century, the city was named for Lourenço Marques, the Portuguese trader who was the first European to explore the area in 1544. The area is a melting pot of several cultures, with a strong South African influence. Arab, East Indian, and Chinese cultures are also found, making the local cuisine an elaborate mix. Seafood is also very abundant.

Maputo to Barra Lodge: Days 2-3
We leave Maputo at 18h00 and set sail to Barra Lodge, arriving at about 10h00 the following morning, one of the top holiday destinations on the mainland coast of Mozambique. Barra has secluded, unspoilt beaches, bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side and the sea on the other.
There is plenty to do in the area from exploring the mangrove swamps to diving in the crystal blue warm ocean waters.

Barra Lodge to Durban: Days 3-5
We leave the unspoilt Barra paradise behind at 10h00 and set said for our return trip to Durban.
