Botswana beckons and on a budget

Now for some game spotting in Chobe National Park Botswana

Kasane Town is very close to Chobe National Park, unfortunately the roads in the park are all sandy 4wd only, so the only way for me to visit was to go on a trip, so again through my accommodation I organised a day trip for US$35, pick up was as 05h30 in the morning to arrive at the park entrance on opening at 6...
I was really lucky and saw loads of wildlife including lions, hyena, elephant, hippo, giraffe and lots of birds the guide was great and I sat back and snapped away with the camera.

Then to round off the day
a sunset river cruise.Botswana
I was ready for some cool refreshing sunset drinks that evening as I excitedly looked through the days photos but there was only time for a quick wash before I was back out again this time onto the river, several boats float gently up and down the river offering sunset cruises, settle into a seat and feel the gentle breeze across your face as you sip a cold drink and watch the world glide by what a perfect way to end the day.

A couple of days is just not enough ... but you have to go homeBotswana

All good things come to an end (do they really have to?) and I head south out of Kasane away from that special little corner of Africa and down the good quality tar road through Pandamatenga, Nata, Francistown and stop in Palapye for the night, its a long quite boring drive and you have to be ever watchful for elephants and other animals crossing the road as well as speed cops. Its not a good road to drive in the dark as there are loads of animals along this road so leave early arrive in the light.
