in Mozambique:

So we have split the main areas and given a brief outline of each
to guide you:
Diving atTofo Mozambique
Diving Highlights: HUMPBACK WHALES
(seasonal),

Diving: Abundant mix of reef and game fish
Accommodation: simple to medium
Diving level: beginner to advanced – Advanced
and deep dive recommended as many dives are Negative entry
and good sites are 20 + metres deep
How to get there: Three days a week there are flights
from Maputo and Johannesburg to nearby Inhambane, driving
is tar road all the way into the village. (some out of the
village accommodation is along sandy tracks).

How to get there: Three days a week there are flights
from Maputo and Johannesburg to nearby Inhambane, driving
is tar road all until the last 12km (some places access by
2wd but some are down sandy tracks.

How to get there: Three days a week there are flights
from Maputo and Johannesburg to nearby Inhambane, driving
is with 4 wheel drive only as the last 20km is down a very
sandy track.

Best area for DUGONG but very rare.

Flights: daily from Johannesburg, several times a week from
Maputo.
Driving: Tar road all the way to Vilanculos – but a
long drive.

Sheer NUMBERS and DIVERSITY of all the fish,
passing HUMPBACK WHALES (seasonal)

Diving: Very unexplored and teeming with life,
great schools of all fish from reef to game fish, soft and
hard coral.
Accommodation: Simple to Luxury
Diving Level: Beginner / Advanced
How to get there:
Flights: Several times a week from Johannesburg and Maputo,
also limited flights from Dar Es Salaam Tanzania and Nairobi
Kenya.
Driving: Is possible to drive but a long journey from everywhere.
