LAM is the national airline for Mozambique and provides regular flights between Johannesburg (South Africa) and Inhambane (Mozambique), some of these flights may be via Maputo.

Other airlines such as Executive Turbine also provide direct flights from Johannesburg Lanseria in South Africa to Inhambane Mozambique.

Visas may be obtained at airports on arrival in Mozambique (approximately US$25 per person), South African citizens do not require visas but must pay an immigration fee (approximately US3 or R21). Cash is required for all visas and immigration tax payments at Mozambique airports.

As of 1st July 2008, all departure taxes are collected by the various airlines, as part of the airfare and paid over to Mozambique so departure tax is no longer payable in Mozambique.
