Inside Ardchoille:
Ardchoille self catering cottage has been refurbished with your comfort
in mind. Soft furnishings in natural colours, use of wood and natural
materials, go to make it a haven of relaxation. In order to maintain the
freshness we do not allow pets or smoking.
The living room and two of the three bedrooms face south, so the sun
streams in during the day.
Full central heating, comfortable beds and an open fire just add to the
luxury.

There are two beautifully kept gardens surrounding Ardchoille
offering those who want a relaxing stay, a private and enchanting place
to entertain yourselves for hours, and watch the red squirrels.
All on the level, they are safe, enclosed and ideal for children. Hill
Walks Riverside Walks Only 80 yards along the road on the north side of
the house, is a forestry track that offers walks leading up into the foothills
of Schiehallion - the famed conical Munro (a hill >3000 feet) that
overlooks Loch Rannoch.
At the end of the south garden is gate that leads to a riverside walk
along the banks of the river Lyon - a picturesque tributary of the river
Tay, that holds many Salmon in the Autumn months.
You'll find many places to picnic along the banks of the river.
Ardchoille self catering cottage was built in 1893 as one of a collection
of cottages to house workers on Garth Estate.
With its slate roof and creamy exterior, it blends perfectly with its
neighbouring cottages in the leafy setting.

The Area:
The local village of Fortingall is a lovely little historic place, boasting
the oldest Yew tree in Europe, and the award winning country hotel with
exquisite dining and a cosy pub; but venture further afield and you will
find breathtaking scenery and much to see and do.
Yes, this is a great place for taking it easy, but for the sports minded
there are Munro's to climb, golf courses galore and fishing and water
sports right on your doorstep.
