The Resort at Cavendish Corner is the premier full service resort in the Cavendish area. We’ve consolidated several overnight and rental properties, including an inn, motel and cottages, to create one spacious Resort that gives visitors an authentic Island experience. The Resort at Cavendish Corner includes: Shining Waters Country Inn and Cottages, Ingleside Lodge and Cottages, and the Cavendish Motel, each offering its own unique style, characteristics, and amenities.

Conveniently located at Cavendish Corner (the intersection of Routes 6 and 13) in the heart of Olde Cavendish, the Resort gives couples, groups, families, motor coach operators and tour planners a new, superior quality, full service accommodation alternative in the heart of Prince Edward Island's favourite tourism destination.

After a $3 million upgrade that included the construction of the Cavendish Conference Centre with its 200-seat restaurant, meeting facilities, art gallery, and gift shop, the Resort at Cavendish Corner now represents the largest and finest full-service resort in the Cavendish Area. Consolidating several unique properties on one large 9-acre ocean view site has allowed the Resort’s owners, the Wood family, to maintain the special qualities, intimacy, and personalized service that our long-term guests have enjoyed since 1942.

Overnight Units
There are two options at the Resort for overnight rooms, the Resort main building and the Ingleside Motel units. The overnight rooms were completely renovated in 2007.

The Resort Main Building is a large, modern facility directly adjacent to the restaurant and conference centre. It features 45 rooms and suites, all of which have been fully renovated. These rooms have wood laminate floors, air conditioning and all the modern amenities. They are exceptionally popular with our motorcoach and other groups.

The Ingleside Motel buildings are smaller and more intimate and have more of the feel of a cottage. There are 2 facilities, a six unit overnight building and a smaller 4 unit efficiency building. Each of these buildings features ocean view verandahs, picnic tables and bbq's. They are particularly popular with those who want a cottage type experience but are looking for reduced rates or a shorter stay.

The Shining Waters Country Inn contains seven regular rooms and 6 luxury suites. Three of the suites are located in a separate "gatehouse" directly adjacent to the Inn. Each Inn room features a private bath and is fully air-conditioned. Room rates include a deluxe continental breakfast served in the Inn's ocean view dining room.

The luxury suites feature luxurious hardwood furnishings, seating areas and large sleigh beds. Some units also feature fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. The Inn offers a unique and intimate heritage experience which is particularly popular with couples and seniors.

Cavendish Conference Centre
Opened in June 2005, the beautiful new Cavendish Conference Centre has elevated The Resort at Cavendish Corner into a true full-service tourism destination. The Centre features a restaurant - Rachael's Ristorante - with 200 seats in three separate dining areas, 3 conference rooms capable of handling groups from 20 - 140 people, an art gallery and a large high-end craft and gift gallery. The building is outfitted to a very high standard, fully air-conditioned, fully accessible and has elevator access to the second floor.

Meeting Rooms
The Cavendish Conference Centre features 3 separate conference rooms. The Andrew Room is located on the first floor and can hold boardroom and small meetings up to 30 people. The larger, McNeill Room is located on the fully accessible second floor and can accommodate meetings up to 80 people.

For larger groups the McNeill Room can be combined with the second floor dining room to accommodate conferences and/or dining for up to 140 people. Full service catering is available from a separate dedicated kitchen and full audio-visual services are available on request. The entire building is smoke-free and has high speed wireless internet access.

Rachael's Ristorante
Rachael's opened in June 2005 and is located in the brand new Cavendish Conference Centre at Cavendish Corner. Rachael's features 2 separate dining rooms together with a large ocean-view deck, totalling over 200 seats. We feature a range of Italian specialties, traditional favourites, seafood, ribs, and the North Shore's best pizza.

The facility is designed for motorcoach, conference and event hosting and features: air-conditioning; non-smoking; elevator; custom menus; motorcoach parking; art gallery featuring prominent Island artists; gift store; and full conference facilities. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
