Welcome to Waterford Campground! We are the ideal location for vacationers looking for privacy and relaxation. Our guests rave about our half mile stretch of private sandy beach and beautiful sunsets. Our safe warm ocean has a sandy bottom with no sudden drop-offs or rocks. There is something rejuvenating about sitting with your family,
watching the waves and the fishermen just off shore, reading a book,
building sandcastles, playing Frisbee or football, and collecting
driftwood for an evening beach fire. |

For those times when the weather does not cooperate for beach activities we have a common area activity centre and a 20x40ft in-ground heated swimming pool. Our pool is suitable for everyone with varying depths from 3 - 8ft.
Campground
All sites are oceanside and/or oceanview. (30) 3-way sites with electric,
water, and sewer.
All sites are 30 and 50 amp capable of servicing any size RV.
Cottages
Each of our cottages overlook the ocean. They were completely renovated
in 2001 with pine interiors and laminate flooring. Amenities include a
fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and cable TV. Linen, towels, dishes
pots and pans are also provided. Laundromat and sheltered common area
on premises.
3 Bedroom:
1 queen, 1 double and 2 single beds.
2 Bedroom:
2 doubles and a pull out sofa OR 1 double, 2 singles and a pull out sofa.
1½ Bedroom:
1 double, 1 single and a pull out sofa.
Jacuzzi and a large deck.
1 Bedroom:
1 double and a pull out sofa.
2 Bedroom:
This smaller 2 bedroom cottage does not have a separate living room (kitchen,
table and chairs and TV all in one space).
Notes:
• Sales tax is not included in the above prices.
• We require a Visa or Mastercard to guarantee a reservation - we
do not process a charge until you arrive.
Local Activities
We are located in classic Prince Edward Island amongst picturesque fishing
villages and farmland. Pass by Stompin Tom's school house on your way
to watching fishing boats depart Skinner's Pond Harbour. Travel to North
Cape to see the windmills and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch at The Wind
and Reef Restaurant.
If you enjoy golfing, Waterford cottages is only minutes to St Felix's nine hole course and within 30 minutes to Mill River's 18 hole course. We also recommend you take in the dinner theatre at Cousin's Restaurant in Tignish. The Moss Interpretive Centre in Miminegash offers Seaweed Pie at their cafe. Finally, a must see for all seafood lovers is the Royal Star Fish Mart.
Scenic Route:
For a more scenic drive turn left at Coleman Corner or at O'Leary corner
and head towards the beach (10 minutes until you reach North Cape Coastal
Drive) turn right towards Waterford Cottages and enjoy a 30 minute drive
of high capes and scenic views of farmland and ocean.
Direct Route:
Travelling off the bridge head towards Summerside (the nearest city from
Waterford Cottages, 75 minute drive). Take route 2 towards Tignish. You
will pass Wellington, O'Leary, and Elmsdale until you reach Profit's Ultramar
in Woodvale. Turn left on Union Road heading towards St. Louis.
Just past Shea's Red & White grocery store and gas station (stop in for some snacks) you will turn right onto Thompson Road. Head towards the ocean! Turn right onto Route 14, North Cape Coastal Drive. We are just a few minutes away on the ocean. Can't miss us!
