We have nine cottages, some single self-contained buildings, others in
duplex buildings. They are situated in the centre of spacious, quiet 13
acre grounds surrounded by scenic farmland and stands of fir, poplar and
maple trees. The units are set back from the highway approximately 1200
- 1500 feet along a curved driveway.
For your swimmimg pleasure we are having a new pool installed for 2006.
The pool is approximately 18ft x 32ft and will be surrounded by a large
deck for suntanning. We hope you will enjoy this new amenity.
We provide gas barbeques for each unit for the outdoor gourmet, as well
as microwaves and stove-fridge-sink combination units with two stove-top
burners. All cooking utensils and dishes are provided. In addition, upon
request, we can supply a crib or high chair for your baby. All bed and
bath linens (sheets, blankets, towels, dishtowels, etc), as well as bathroom
necessities such as soap, facial tissue and toilet tissue, are provided.
We now have satellite TV including many English and French channels.
If you have any special requests, please ask. We may very well be able
to accommodate you.
The Facilities
On site there are laundry facilities (coin operated washer and dryer)
and even clothes lines if you prefer to dry your clothes in the wonderful
fresh air. The large playground area is situated so as to allow parents
to watch their children at play without having to leave the cottage. Children
(and adults) can enjoy swings, teeter-totters, horse-shoes and a sand
box.
In June and early July, visitors can enjoy countless colourful lupins
growing wild in the fields. Wild strawberries and blueberries can be picked
in season right on the property. If you are observant, you may even catch
a glimpse of baby rabbits and squirrels on the grounds as you wander leisurely
about.
We even have an Osprey nest on location and are proud to say that a
baby Osprey was born and raised in this nest during the summer of 2001,
three in 2002 and another in 2003. Tiny colourful hummingbirds also visit
the feeder located at the office many times a day from June to September.
Many visitors have commented on how close to everything (sites and attractions)
that our facility is, yet it is away from the hustle and bustle when they
wish to take a break and relax. All of the units have decks and lawn chairs
for relaxing. We have also had numerous comments about how clean and comfortable
the cottages are, and how well people sleep when they are here.
Pets
Pets are permitted but must be leashed and under control at ALL times.
